Your body: a natural DETOX machine.
If you really want to appreciate your body and its amazing way of keeping you healthy.. you kinda need to know what goes on in it. One of its most wonderful abilities is its natural detoxification processes. You DON’T have to waste your money on pills, teas, or the lastest slim drinks. You just have to know how these main systems and organs detoxify itself. These are the liver, kidneys, intestines, lungs, skin and lymphatic system, which play a major role in keeping your body healthy and toxin free.
Liver
The liver has a wide range of functions. From detoxification, protein synthesis, and digestion. This organ plays a major role in metabolism and has a number of functions in the body, including blood filtering, enzyme production, and destroying toxins that come from food, water, and the air.
Intestines
The highway of your digestive system, intestines are where digested food passes through and where nutrients are absorbed. They balance the good and bad bacteria and produce natural substances that break down toxins. With overly processed and unhealthy diets, damaging effects will decrease digestive process so that the digested food remains in the gut and body to only reabsorb toxins.
Kidneys
The kidneys are essential part of the urinary system. They are a natural blood filter blood and waster remover which is channeled to the bladder. In producing urine, the kidneys excrete waste such as urea and ammonium.
Lungs
The lungs are the essential respiration organs in our body. Their principal function is to transport oxygen into the bloodstream and to release carbon dioxide from the bloodstream when we exhale.
Skin
Sweating is the production of fluid that is secreted by the sweat glands in our skin. Sweating not only allows the body to regulate its temperature, but also provides detoxification by expelling toxins through sweat.
Lymphatic system
Lymph is the fluid that circulates throughout the lymphatic system and is part of our immune system. Lymph contains white blood cells that carry bacteria or other toxins from the body’s cells and bring them to lymph nodes where they can be destroyed.
