Self Care September Day Sixteen: Journaling.
Journaling can be used in a variety of ways.. free thoughts, track food intake, and even as a creative outlet. It’s a great tool to allow you to be honest with yourself, relieve stress, and stay organized.
Here are some of my personal journaling tips in getting started:
- Make a schedule so journaling becomes a habit and you can consistently benefit from it.
- Be honest and let it flow naturally. Don’t think too much.
- Personalize it by adding photos and other media.
- Ease into writing by describing where you are and what is going on around you.
- Explore your feelings.
- Allow natural pauses. Lift your eyes from the page, tune into your senses, relish that moments, and observe what is going on around you.
- Stop when you feel complete.
