Self Care September Day Three: Pamper yourself.

Eliminate disruptions and distractions.

Make your space relaxing. Minimize any hustle and bustle from family or roommate traffic. Light some candles or put on the essential oils. Last but not least.. don’t forget to turn your phone off or at least on silent.

Get it all together.

Comfy robe, slippers, diy home infused water, favorite snacks, and pandora zen. Heck yes. Feeling a little decadent.. pinot and strawberries? Whatever is going to make this spa day 100%

Elevate your senses with essential oils.

Essential oils provide so many health benefits and can enhance the effects of your DIY spa day. I love lavender combined with rose for relations. Peppermint, rosemary, and citrus elevate things further with an invigorating boost.

Increase your experience with infusions.

I love this everyday and even in spa days. One of the perks of going to a spa is the amazingly refreshing water they serve. Take your home spa day up a notch with infused water AKA detox water.

Hello Mc’Steamy.

If you have ever had a spa facial, you know how wonderful this feels. Simply fill a bowl with steaming water, drape your favorite tool over and allow your pores to open up. For optimal results: steam for 7-10 minutes.

Exfoliate. Exfoliate. Exfoliate.

Exfoliating brings on this feeling of renewal. For facial treatments, do this first to prep your face for optimal results from applied treatments. For body, relax and rejuvenate in the shower with a body scrub. This cleanses and renews your skin to leave you feeling soft, smooth, and amazing.

Take warm bath.

Can you think of anything more relaxing? I love adding epsom salts and bath bombs for relaxation and soothing of sore muscles. You can even apply a face mask and allow the steam from the bath to open your pores and allow the mask to really absorb into your skin.
